What does football club membership cover?
Our soccer club is managed by very generous volunteers, who give their time to ensure we have some of the best football club facilities in Geelong. We’re proud to offer high-quality soccer pitches, kitchen, bar, change rooms and other amenities for everyone who visits Bell Park Sports Club – from players to referees, parents, spectators and corporate guests.
In order to keep our football club facilities in pristine condition and to meet the needs of all who use them, membership fees contribute to the ongoing maintenance of our club, including:
- building improvement
- grass cutting and grounds maintenance
The membership fee allows us to give back to our soccer club players and supporters, providing the facilities and amenities to support our growing numbers – including development of a new Geelong function room.
Please contact our soccer club to find out more about membership.
Message from Club President about family membership
We are occasionally asked why a membership fee is payable. You may not be aware but the Bell Park Sports Club sits on private land and is consequently not maintained by Council like many of the clubs you will visit. We are fortunate to have one of the best football club facilities in Geelong, however it does come at a cost.
Significant funds are required annually to maintain the grounds and club rooms. Did you realise the football club is managed and run by volunteers? We cannot thank our volunteers enough for their generosity that ensures this fantastic sports facility remains open to the community. To be a member of Bell Park Sports Club, a membership fee is payable. It’s a small contribution, and to keep things in perspective – the total membership fees collected does not cover the cost of watering the grounds.
When you consider some of the additional overheads – grass cutting, power, insurance – then we hope you’ll appreciate the necessity of the membership fee and associated benefits.
If you have any questions or require more information about membership, please contact our soccer club.
