Why is a Membership fee is payable?
The Bell Park Sports Club is situated on private property and is consequently not maintained by the Council like many other clubs in Geelong. We are fortunate to have one of the best facilities in Geelong however it does come at a cost. Significant funds are required annually to maintain the grounds and clubrooms for example rates, water, maintenance and utilities.
To be a member of the Club a membership (subscription) fee is payable. It’s a small contribution, and to keep things in perspective; the total membership fees collected does not cover the cost of watering the grounds.
When you consider some of the additional overheads then we hope you’ll appreciate the necessity of the Membership fee and associated benefits.
Why is a Volunteering Levy payable?
The Bell Park Soccer Club is managed and fully operated by volunteers. We cannot thank our existing volunteers enough for their generosity however in order for the facility to continue and remain functional for the community, we require additional volunteers. Therefore, we are forced to introduce this refundable Levy to encourage additional families to get involved and volunteer their time.
Volunteering in the community is both satisfying and rewarding so please get involved and support the club that enables your child development through sport.
